Tema President’s Putter Golf Championship

All is set for this year’s Tema Country Golf Club President’s Putter Open Championship at Tema on Saturday, March 14.

Nicholas Amoah, General Manager of the Tema Country Golf Club who disclosed this at Tema on Monday, said the one-day 18-Hole Medal Championship was being sponsored by Afko Group of Companies.

He said the competition which would be played under the local rules of the Club has Handicap 18 and 24 respectively as the entry requirements.

Amoah said about 120 amateur and professional golfers throughout the country were expected to participate in the competition.

Noel Hammond will lead the Tema team which would include Felix Owusu-Adjapong, Paul Owusu-Baah, Alex Fiagomey and Kwaku Okyere while Frank Adu will also captains Achimota club which would include the likes of Mike Aggrey, Mike Ezan and Rene Kwame.

Five prizes will be awarded in the Men’s category while four will be given in the Ladies segment.

There will also be Bobby prizes and prizes for ‘’Nearest to the Pin and Closest to the Pin’’
