Al Khartoum repose confidence in Kwesi Appiah despite elimination

The chairman of Al Khartoum FC, Mamoun Bashir Elnefiedi, has said that the club has confidence in Kwesi Appiah despite the team’s elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup last Sunday.

According to Mr. Momoun, Appiah was given a two-year mandate to rebuild the club and he can testify that since Appiah’s arrival, the tactical philosophy and the mental orientation of the team have changed.

“The team is now playing good football and it is the wish of the management that this rebuilding project continues like it has started” he said in a telephone interview with `Asante Forkuo of ATL Fm Sports.

Mr Mamoun noted that coach Appiah could not be faulted for Al Khartoum’s 2-0 loss to Power Dynamos.

He added that the team is going back to the drawing board and with the presence of Coach Akwasi Appiah, he believes that the team will qualify for Africa next year.
