Kotoko host Semassi of Togo on Sunday

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will host Semassi Club of Togo in a friendly encounter at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Sunday encounter is part of a series of friendly matches lined up by the management of the club to test the team's strength and temperament for international matches, particularly for its newly recruited players and also to give the players as international exposure.

A statement signed by Mr Kwabena Sarpong Akosah, Kotoko Public Relations Officer and issued in Kumasi on Thursday, said all the newly signed on players of Kotoko will feature in Sunday's match.

The statement said Kotoko would also play two other international friendlies with Africa Sports of Cote d'Ivoire and a premiership side from Burkina Faso before the commence of the new season.

The rates for Sunday's match, which would kick off at 3 pm, would be 10,000, 15,000, 30,000 and 100,000 cedis respectively.

The statement appealed to the teeming Kotoko supporters to turn out in their numbers to watch the new recruits on display.
