Medeama endorse Anobaah’s Ismaily move

Theophilus Anobaah has finally been allowed to leave Medeama SC following the sanctioning of a $50,000 move to Ismaily Club.

For the past five months, the winger has been engaged in a contract tussle with Medeama who blocked a proposed move to Egyptian club, Petrojet, without their consent.

Anobaah was subsequently suspended for entering a three-year pre-contract with the side as a free agent but has now been freed to revive his career.

“We want to inform our supporters and other stakeholders that Medeama have agreed to release Theophilus Anoobah to Egyptian side Ismaily,” club chairman James Essilfie told medeamasc.com

“We are still negotiating the terms of reference. But we are 95-98% through with the agreement.

“Hopefully we’ll finalise the deal by the close of the week to allow him leave. We wish him well,” he ended.

Anobaah was an influential member of the Ghana squad that won silver at the 2013 Chan tournament in South Africa.

Ismaily have already signed another Ghanaian, striker Emmanuel Banahene from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Orobah following the sale of John Antwi to Al-Shabab.
