Afriyie Acquah joined Sampdoria due to financial crisis at Parma

Ghana’s TSG Hoffenheim midfielder Afriyie Acquah joined Sampdoria on loan following his temporary stay at Parma where he made 14 appearances last season, DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm.

Parma decided to send the 23-year-old to Sampdoria because the Tardini outfit had difficulties settling players’ wages for close to 6 months.

It would be recalled that in December 2014, Parma had to be docked one point for failing to pay players’ salaries.

Acquah, who has now joined fellow Ghanaian Alfred Duncan at Sampdoria, is currently in Malabo preparing for Ghana’s AFCON 2015 semi-final against Equatorial Guinea on Thursday, and will join Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side after the tournament.
