Fiamenyo scores twice as Hearts draw 2-2 with Medeama

Striker Gilbert Fiamenyo bagged a brace to help Hearts of Oak record a 2-2 draw in their Ghana Premier League match-day 2 fixture against Medeama SC at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi on Saturday afternoon.

The bulky attacker, who has now scored 5 goals in this season’s local league campaign, opened the scoring for the Phobians in the 43rd minute after putting a volley past Medeama goalie Foli Adade.

Back from recess, the Mauves and Yellows drew level through Benjamin Bature in the 55th-minute but the Rainbow club jumped back into the lead when Fiamenyo found the back of the net again in the 60th minute.

But Medeama equalized to spoil the party for Hearts after Hans Kwoffie volleyed in from a corner kick to force out a stalemate.

Coach Herbert Addo’s side has now secured 1 win, 1 loss and 1 draw in three Premier League games this season.
