Olympics to report referee SB Bortey to GFA

Great Olympics is preparing to report referee SB Bortey to the Ghana FA’s match review committee for unfair officiating in the Wonder club’s 2-0 defeat to AshantiGold SC in Obuasi last Sunday.

The Agosu lads claim referee Bortey shockingly denied them a penalty in the dying embers of the match after the match official had pointed to the penalty spot.

The match review committee is likely to hand down a sanction to SB Bortey if the video evidence from the match-day one fixture implicates the Takoradi based match official.

Olympics are in desperate need of a win over visiting Heart of Lions in their match-day two fixture against Heart of Lions on Wednesday to improve the Teshie based club’s position on the league table.
