Joshua Clottey backs Commey to stay unbeaten

Ex-IBF Welterweight champion Joshua Clottey believes Commonwealth Lightweight title holder, Richard Commey, has the required endurance and conditioning to maintain his unbeaten run against Sipho Taliwe at the Emperor’s Palace in Gauteng South Africa on March 21.

The 27-year-old Commey improved his fight record to 19 wins from 19 career fights after defeating Samir Ziani in Denmark on December 13 last year.

“Commey is doing marvelous. I have sparred with the guy. He started as a kickboxer and he is very good and I always tell people in Bukom who insult him that he has a bright future and can do something. He never drinks or smokes and training is his best friend,” Clottey told Starr Sports.

The SWAG professional boxer of the year 2014 has already commenced training in the UK ahead of the bout against the 33-year-old, who has suffered four defeats in his 27 career fights, drawing one.
