NSA clears Olympics to host Lions at Accra Stadium on Wednesday

The National Sports Authority is to allow Great Olympics to use the Accra Sports Stadium pitch for the Ghana Premier League match-day two fixture against Heart of Lions on Wednesday.

The usage of the pitch was frozen to ensure Green Grass Technology maintains the playing surface since it had been overused during the Christmas break.

“Yes, it will be opened for them to use it and after we will close it again for re-greening until the end of the month,” the NSA’s spokesperson Frederica Mensah-Davies told DailySoccerGhana.com.

According to the NSA, the re-greening of pitch, which will follow the Great Olympics’ midweek clash, is expected to end on January 29, two days to the Agosu club’s home encounter against Aduana Stars.
