Zongo communities set for gala at Kawukudi Park on Tuesday

A special football gala targeted at fostering peace within Muslim communities kicks off at the Kawukudi park, near Nima in Accra on Tuesday when 8 teams square off to slug it out for the ultimate trophy and cash prize with a host of mouthwatering prizes at stake.

Under the auspices of Alhuda Islamic Society, a Non Governmental Organisation, the one-day special football gala is under the theme Peace (Salam) featuring eight Zongo communities on January 20 has an objective to help sustain the peace, love and harmony among the youth.

The football fiesta also seeks to encourage the youth to live positive and productive lives for the benefit of all.

In the event, second and third placed teams will also receive a trophy and cash prize in addition to all participating teams getting an appearance fee.
The Best Behaved Team will also be rewarded with a cash prize as the quest to instill peace is showcased.

First match is expected to kick off at exactly 9.30am and below is the pairings from the quarter finals where all winners of the four matches will go through to the semi final knockout stage.

1- Abeka vrs Sabon Zongo.
2.Madina Zongo vrs sukura
3-Nima vrs Mamoobi
4-Accra New Town vrs Fadama.
