Bernard Mensah assists Vitória Guimarães to summit of Portuguese Liga

Ghanaian starlet Bernard Mensah keeps writing a wonderful script about his season as he assisted the match winner for Vitória Guimarães in their 2-1 win over Moreirense on Friday in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Vitória were close to dropping valuable points as the visitors had taken an early lead at the Estádio Dom Afonso Henriques.

But the host claimed their equaliser 30 minutes later.

However, they failed to take the winner until Mensah waved his magic to lay a pass to Uruguayan international Jonatan Alvez who finished with precision.

The win has catapulted Vitória to the summit of the table, though could be temporal as games are slated for Saturday and Sunday.

Mensah’s imprint in the Primeira Liga has been clear as he is rated as one of the best youngsters in the league. The assist was his sixth of the season while he has also contributed four goals to their campaign.
