Mawejje: Uganda in a must-win situation against Ghana

Uganda Cranes midfield ace, Tonny Mawejje, has tagged Saturday’s Afcon qualifier against Ghana as ‘a must win fixture’.

“Realistically, the match against Ghana at Namboole puts us in a ‘must win’ situation if we are to have a chance to make it to the Afcon finals,” the F.C Haugesund midfield dynamo revealed to the media shortly after the team’s Thursday session at Namboole stadium.

Asked if he replicate the form he exhibited when the two sides faced off in Kumasi, Mawejje was quick to interject with the teamwork mentality as a key for many successful teams world over.

“It is always difficult to talk of individuals when it comes to a team sport as football. Players are the one unit that form a team. Myself and the teammates shall fight tooth and nail for a positive home result,” he added.
