New Black Stars Coach Arrives Today

New Black Stars coach, Burkhard Ziese is expected in the country on Thursday to finalise his contractual agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Giving an insight to the agreement, a GFA source told the GNA Sports that Burkhard would not earn more than 8,000 dollars a month.

The source said the German who guided the Black Stars to qualify for the 1992 Africa Nations' Cup is not interested in a signing on fee, instead he would like to be given a gratuity at the end of his contract, on condition that his work is satisfactory.

The German, according to the source, puts premium on winning bonuses, which motivates him to deliver.

Burkhard was one of three coaches including caretaker coach Emmanuel Afranie interviewed a couple of weeks ago for the top job.

He got the job but not after a back-and-forth announcements that he had been given the nod.

His one-year contract starts on March 1, with a six-month probation period.
