As if the sending of the 30 million dollars by the President on a private jet to Brazil wasn't enough of an embarrassment, today the seemingly deception "ticket" to the national U17 is a huge deflation of our pride and ego. The people responsible for this disgraceful slip shouldn't be allowed to go with impunity. They should be punished to serve as a deterrent to others in future. Let's not forget that "When a fish rots, it begins from . . ." .

The age competitions, U17 & U20 are meant to be a means for the future development of football at the senior level but unfortunately, most countries have taken it as an end in itself. It is a mockery of the competition to see adults parading as juveniles because of the desire to win at all costs.
It is a shame for Ghana and Nigeria to win world cups at the U17 level twice and thrice respectively but cannot repeat it at the senior level. We only produce super juvenile starlets who can't grow to become stars.

The story said the boys passed the CAF initial test so what is your worry? Even common sense tells me that over 3 months has elapsed since the first test so definitely the results won't be the same. Don't u know that technically when u r 3 months past your age, then u r seen as in the next age category? Thus a 17years 3 months boy is technically 18 years old think about these things. U r not a true son. The whole of Africa and the brazillians even cheat. If u discovered Gyan then it means you also cheated by reducing his age n giving him to the authorities. Just shut up. The boys passed the initial test and the so called machine is rubbish. Don't you know the same machine failed a 17 year old American? What do u have to say about that? The players passed the initial test and that's the end of the story. Go to bed Sarpong

Are they better than Ghanaian officials as far as true ages are concerned?
On the other hand, if you think it's prevalent continent-wide, why not call on CAF to go back and test every single African player who took part in the qualifiers, even if he had played only 1 minute?
Why are you bearing witness against your own country when you know that other countries are guilty of the same charge?
Has it occurred to that Hayatou is Cameroonian and thus has a clearly-biased interest in Cameroon's appeal, that as a Cameroonian he should have excused himself from the panel making the judgment, that he may have something against Ghana for rejecting the hosting of the Ebola Afcon?
How nonsensical, Mr. Sarpong!

Afrikanblak, sorry; no one is saying Sarpong is lying. But the fact is there is no sense in him coming out to say things like this at this time. Is he out to discredit his country? Or just getting at someone he's being enving for some time. You know coaches do envy one another from time to time and Sarpong might be ceasing this opportunity to get at the U-17 coach for all you'll know.
Then, how can even such a statement that only discredits your nation be published. This is the World and Africa. Everyone is a cheat. America is owing trillions of debt and no one mentions it. Ghana owes billions and heaven breaks lose which is caused by Ghanaian journalists. Do you have to say everything everytime? Ghanaians have become ungratful to the extent that God may take His mighty hands off them. The "Freedom of Speech" has been abused. Thanks!

Everyone knows. It's like an elephant in the room. Everyone sees it, but no one comments about it. I dont think he was wrong in stating the obvious weather it tarnishes Ghana or not, because it's the truth. It's true everyone is a cheat, so why is it a bad thing to say what everyone knows to be wrong? I think the faster we accept that we are all cheating the quicker we can rectify the issue and move to fix it.

Afrikanblak, You are a BIG FOOL.
This is NOT hard to understand.
I'm not saying he is lying.
I'm not saying he is telling the truth either.
What I'm saying is that these charges have always been leveled against every African country - Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Tunisia, indeed, all of the rest, and Mr. Sarpong knows that.
So why is he out indicting and convicting only his own country when he could have made a more professional, all-inclusive appeal against African countries about such allegations?
Why did he trash Ghana for Cameroon when he knows that Cameroon does the same, that Hayatou is from Cameroon, that the players had already been tested before both legs of the qualifiers, that testing a player 6 months after the 2nd leg cannot prove guilt because the player could have turned 18 since the 2nd leg?
If the other countries had NEVER been suspected of such behavior, I would back Mr. Sarpong, but that has not been the case, so why such gross betrayal?
Do you understand now, MR. STUPID AFRIKANBLAK?
