Kuffuor regrets not playing for Barcelona

Sammy Kuffuor’s inability to play for Spanish giants Barcelona remains one of his biggest career regrets, the ex-Bayern Munich ace has revealed.

The former Ghana international enjoyed an illustrious club career with the Bavarians which spanned over a decade.

The 38-year-old has always remained a key admirer of the Blaugrana and was fined in 2001 by the club for flirting with Barcelona representative.

The Bayern legend says his inability to play for Barcelona remains a big blot on his glittering career.

“One of my biggest regret in football was not being able to play in Barcelona I enjoy watching them and I wish I had played there for some time,” Kuffour is quoted Glitz Magazine.

Kuffuor played for many top clubs in Europe during his 16-yeal spell featuring for the likes of AS Roma, Livorno, Ajax and Nuremberg.
