The father of Kevin-Prince Boateng is furious with his son after his raucous showing at the 2104 World Cup in June which led to the Ghana FA booting him out of the tournament in Brazil, family member Yaw Boateng Gyan has revealed.
The Black Stars management committee member met Boateng’s father to discuss his son’s chaotic campaign at the World Cup in Brazil.
While the leading figure of the ruling National Democratic Congress admits he has not spoken to his nephew, he has revealed his father is disappointed with the player’s attitude which has landed him into trouble with the Ghana FA.
“I have not spoken with him (Boateng) since the incident in Brazil but I have spoken to his father and he’s very disappointed,” Yaw Boateng Gyan said.
“His father was utterly shocked to hear some of the things but his son is a grown up man and so should be responsible for his actions.
“His dad is indifferent if he’s call-up in the future or not. He says he should take responsibility for his action and inactions.
“But obviously he was very sad and disappointed for how things turned out.”
The former AC Milan star has been frozen out of the Black Stars indefinitely after he launched a verbal tirade at dismissed trainer Kwesi Appiah during the global piece.
He has flatly refused to render an unqualified apology to the FA and Ghanaians since the episode to cast serious doubts about his international future.
