Aspire Dreams Academy coaches commend Ghana players

After eight years of going round the world to unearth football talents, coaches and scouts of Aspire Dreams Academy for Sports Excellence based in Qatar have commended the 50 players who passed for this year’s final selection in Ghana.
Josep Colomer, a top official of the Aspire Dreams Academy told yours truly in an exclusive interview that he was personally impressed with the output of the final selection and their performance had made the work of the selectors difficult as they found it difficult to pick the top three players of the international experience of training in Senegal or Doha, Qatar where the famous and ultramodern state of the art Academy is based.
According to Colomer, who has led the final selection training from September 29 to October 3, 2014 said the boys understood the game of football and that is exactly what the scouts and coaches were looking out for.
He congratulated the coordinators who picked the players from over 75 centers all over Ghana, with the support of 600 volunteers.
He indicated that the selectors for Ghana have decided to pick more than three players and the lucky five or seven would be based in Senegal for some time before transferring them to Qatar if they are able to meet the standards and requirements of a rising top professional star.
Country Director of Aspire Dreams in Ghana Captain (rtd) Andy Sam, a distinguished sports personality also commended the players and urged them to keep on training to always be in shape.
He disclosed that Aspire offers scholarships to selected players, but before, they are kitted with footballs, bibs, shoes, socks, bags, caps, t shirts, shorts and track suits to make them decently dressed and behave like professionals.
Captain Andy Sam noted that the work rate of this year’s players had been above average and it has made that scouts and coaches do a lot of work to get the very best performers.
Among the coaches who congratulated the boys and expressed their good wishes for them were Lamine Savane from Senegal, Steven Othara from Kenya, Shahe Ohannessian from Spain, Esa Peltola from Australia, Elder Mike Laryea from Sefwi in Ghana and Tina Amponsah from Akwatia also in Ghana.
They praised the Aspire philosophy and vision to help young players gain quality education through sports.
