Odame wins Achimota Seniors Golf

Odame returned 68 net to win the first Achimota Golf Club Seniors competition of the year played at Achimota in Accra on Sunday.

Joseph Odei was second with 69 points, Nana Bosompra came third with 71 points while Miguel Ribeiro took the fourth position with 73 points.

Elizabeth Quartey won the Ladies event with 67 points, Florence Etwi-Barimah came second with 71 points, while Mary Asafu-Adjaye placed third with 72 points.

The Men's 50-54 year Group event ,was won by Albert Brock with 68 points while Dave Martins followed him with 69 points.

The one-day event which was opened to senior members of Tema and Achimota Golf clubs aged 55 years and above was sponsored by Pasico Ghana Limited.

It attracted more than 100 golfers.

Naval Captain K.A. Butah, Acting Chairman of the Achimota Golf Club Seniors Group praised the company for the sponsorship and called on other corporate bodies and institutions to help develop the sport.

Mr Edward Lyne, Managing Diriector of Pasico Ghana Limited was assisted by Naval Captain Butah to present the prizes to the winners.
