Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah played in a protective helmet in CD Mirandes’ second defeat of the season at Tenerife on Sunday.
The 27-year-old returned to club duties following his involvement with Ghana in their opening 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Brimah returned to his Spanish-base having lost one of his molars while on international duty.
The injury kept him from the Ghana match day squad for the 2015 AFCON qualifier against Togo in Lome.
Brimah was initially feared to have suffered a broken jaw but further scans put him in the clear.
But severe aches in his gum saw him sat out Ghana’s win over Togo last week.
The pain appears to have reduced but the ex Guadalajara shot-stopper was made to wear a protective head gear in order to avert any unforeseen eventualities.
Mirandes however lost to a 7th minute strike through Iker Guarrootxena.
