Benouza to referee Togo-Ghana AFCON qualifier

Experienced centre-man Mohamed Benouza will lead a team of Algerian referees to handle Ghana’s second Group E game of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers away to Togo this Wednesday September 10, footy-Ghana.com can confirmed.

The 41-year-old will be manning his 7th Ghana senior team match at the 30,000-seater capacity Stade de Kégué in Lomé. In his previous Black Stars games, Ghana has won three, drawn once and lost twice to Gabon in June 2008 then Zambia in February 2012.

He will be assisted by countrymen Bouabdallah Omari and Mokrane Gourari as assistants 1 and 2 respectively while another Algerian Mokhtar Amalou serves at the fourth official.

Mali FA media officer Salaha Baby is the match commissioner.

Togo lost 1-2 in its opening group qualifier while the Black Stars drew at home.

Wednesday’s game is scheduled to kick off at 4pm
