Kotoko-Sarfo Gyamfi haggle over contract duration

Frank Sarfo Gyamfi’s imminent move to Ghanaian league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko appears to have hit a temporal snag due to contractual disagreements, footy-Ghana.com understands.

Reports reaching Ghana’s No.1 football community portal indicate there has been a delay in the announcement of the deal due to a lack of understanding over the specific duration of the contract.

The player, who came close to a loan deal with the Porcupine Warriors in 2013, is said to have asked for a one-year deal, a request which hasn’t gone down well with the Kotoko management who are said to be pushing for a two-year contract in the least.

The 20-year-old winger completed a successful medical at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of his imminent move to the Kumasi-based side last Saturday but uncertainties over the contractual duration appear to be the only bone of contention.

The former Wa All Stars wide-man is currently available for a free transfer after parting ways with Maritzburg United of South Africa earlier this year.
