Empoli and Livorno challenge Sassuolo for Moro Alhassan

Three Italian clubs are jostling for the signature of Ghanaian youth midfielder Moro Alhassan.

Serie A duo Empoli and Sassuolo have enquired about his availability from Genoa who are ready to farm him out.

But Livorno, who plays in the Serie B, is also bent on signing the defensive midfielder on loan.

The 20-year-old needs more first team experience to toughen him for top-tier football.

He spent last season on loan at Cesena which secured promotion to the Serie A.

Alhassan made a total of 14 appearances including games in the play-offs.
