Ghana will give US a good game – Kwesi Appiah

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has assured Ghanaians that the Black Stars are poised to neutralise the USA to begin their World Cup campaign positively.

The four-time African champions are opening their group game against the Stars and Stripes on June 16 in Natal.

Appiah is aware of the dangers that Jurgen Klinsmann and his charges can pose after falling in the hands of Ghana twice on the same stage, hence he is geared up for a hard-hitting battle.

“America is got a very good team,” the Black Stars coach said. “The coach is doing well, and he has brought some new players in and looking at the game that they've played recently, there's no way anyone can underrate them.”

He added: “I believe that they are one of the best teams in the tournament. It's not going to be easy but we will do well to give them a good game.”

Ghana’s other group G opponents are Germany and Portugal.
