Turkish coach in Ghana to watch Sunday's super clash

Ex-Kotoko coach Telat Uzum arrived in Ghana on Thursday night for Sunday’s big game involving his former club and rivals Hearts of Oak, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Turkish trainer will watch Sunday’s game at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi as well as yet to be determined Premier League game on the final day of the championship, Ghana’s leading football portal can reveal.

It’s, however, unclear who invited him to the country, but GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal that he’s in town to scout for players for some Turkish and European clubs.

The 51-year-old trainer has been inactive on the touchline since he left relegated Real Tamale United in 2010.

He coached Kotoko during the 2006-2007 season but left after just a season in charge of the Porcupine Warriors.

Kotoko will host their sworn rivals in Sunday’s big game at the Baba Yara stadium with only the bragging rights at stake after they clinched their third successive title last Wednesday.

The record-holders will also be hoping to complete the double after beating Hearts 1-0 in the corresponding fixture in Accra last year.

Hearts have slim hope of qualifying to the CAF Champions League as they trail Heart of Lions by three points.
