Black Stars players to storm training; four absent

Twenty Ghana players are expected to start training for the World Cup on Tuesday afternoon without Adam Kwarasey, Daniel Opare, Jeffrey Schlupp and Albert Adomah, who are yet to arrive.

The Black Stars will begin their World Cup training camp in Accra Tuesday afternoon as Kwesi Appiah prepares his team for next month’s tournament in Brazil.

Among other players expected to be in attendance on Tuesday are top players Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Andre Ayew, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah, with the Black Stars showing all seriousness in preparation for the World Cup.

Kwarasey, Opare, Schlupp and Adomah will be absent from the opening session as they are expected to arrive in the country on Tuesday night.

Michael Essien and Kevin Prince Boateng will not be part of the sessions at home rather they will join the squad in the Netherlands for the second phase of preparations.

Appiah will get his players started at 3:00pm on the opening day as the Black Stars begin work leading up to a May 23 farewell match at the same venue with a local select side.
