Kelantan struggling to field Prince Tagoe

Malaysian side Kelantan are unlikely to field new Ghanaian signing Prince Tagoe due to the non-availability of his ITC, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Red Warriors signed the Ghanaian international a few weeks ago but have been unable to field him due to their inability to secure his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

The Malaysian side are having difficulties getting the required certification from his former club, Club Africain.

The Tunisian outfit are reluctant to release his ITC following Tagoe’s decision to quit the club.

“We are trying to sort out his ITC but the matter has been referred to FIFA due to contractual problems with his previous club,” Kelantan team manager Azman Ibrahim on Thursday said.

“We do not know how long it will take to be resolved. We will decide soon on the next line of action.”

The Black Stars striker was signed to replace Lebanese striker Mohd Ghadfar Mohamed during the second transfer window last month.

Kelantan have lost the core of the team who won the treble – Super League, FA and Malaysia Cup – last season.

They are currently seventh in the Super League with 19 points.

They are also out of the AFC Cup competition after making an early exit in the group stages last month.
