Mahatma wins first club career trophy in Norway

Striker Mahatma Otoo won his first ever club career trophy after helping Sogndal Fotball lift the 2014 La Manga Cup on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old, who notched 23 goals in all competitions for Hearts of Oak last season, was talismanic in attack producing great potency in front of goal.

Before Sogndal claimed their prize in the pre-season mini tournament, on the way to the finals, where they humbled rivals Brann 1-0, Otoo had produce three emphatic goals to underline his scoring credentials.

After failing to earn a deal at Belgian side Club Brugge en route to Sogndal, the successes were minimal as he failed to make consistent appearances in the Eliteserien.

But with the form demonstrated on pre-season, the 2011 Ghana U23 skipper could make a big impact in the league.
