Ayew lashes out at Marseille fans

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has lashed out at Marseille fans for booing at Jeremy Morel when he was replaced in their 1-0 win over Lorient last weekend.

This is the second time Ayew has expressed such dissatisfaction against his own fans after his brother Jordan suffered similar fate.

“I would spend a little time with Jeremy Morel and tell him something because he returned from injury and he made two good games,” Ayew told Le10 Sports.

“After getting whistled by his own fans, it hurts not only for himself but for the whole group because we are very united.”

Ayew added: “We were in a difficult period during the game. We needed the fans during this period, it was 10 to 15 minutes to full time before we scored. If a player from injury is being whistled at, it makes things complicated.”
