Yahaya could miss CHAN final

Ghana striker Yahaya Mohammed is a huge injury doubt for Saturday’s CHAN final against Libya in Cape Town.

The Asante Kotoko player was substituted in the second half during yesterday’s semi-final penalty shoot-out win over Nigeria in Bloemfontein.

The hardworking striker is suspected to have aggravated a knee injury.

Mohammed has been influential for the Local Black Stars at the tournament and has picked up two man-of-the match awards.

His only goal in the tournament was against Ghana’s next opponents, Libya, in the Group stage.
