Konadu anticipates tough Ethiopia clash

Ghana coach, Maxwell Konadu is anticipating a very difficult game against Ethiopia in the final Group C encounter today.

The Ethiopians have no chance of making it to the next stage after losing their two previous games. The Local Black Stars on the other hand need just a draw to push them to the quarter-finals.

But Konadu thinks his opponents could be dangerous and possibly “party destroyers.”

"This match will be the most difficult for us because the Ethiopians have nothing to lose and and they will be under no pressure," Konadu told www.ghanafa.org. "The pressure is rather on us to beat the Ethiopians and we are confident we will achieve the right results."

Ghana will be without forwards, Sulley Mohammed and Yahaya Mohammed. Medeama Sc player, Theophilus Anobaah is also likely to miss the match on the grounds of injury.

Congo and Libya who will be meeting in the other group match are both in the position to qualify, leaving Ghana with no option than to avoid a defeat against Ethiopia.

"This game is like the knockout stage so our approach will be different. "Fortunately, a draw will be okay for us but you don't start a game with the mindset of getting a draw. We will go all out until we think we need a draw,” Konadu added.
