Nana Egyri: Lions must maintain first round form

Defender Nana Egri wants Heart of Lions to retain the good start to the season when the second round resumes.

The defender, who joined Lions from Medeama SC two seasons ago, has 3 goals to his credit for the Kpando base club and relishing Lions continues the good form.

Lions after surviving relegation for the past two seasons have reignited after adding to their ranks few of their former players. For Nana Egri it is all about hard work and determination that brought Lions this far.

“It’s been a wonderful first round. We did all we could to maintain our heads up and yes we actually achieved a good first round finish.

"It’s been a though past two season, it looks like becoming impossible but with hard work and determination we brought Lions out of the bottom 3. The second round will be more fireworks and we are looking forward to maintain the winning momentum and win the league for the first time,” he said.

Heart of Lions are 4th on the Ghana premier league table and plays Liberty professional at home when the league resumes.
