Players Abroad: Adomah rescues Middlesbrough, Badu benched

ENGLAND

Michael Essien was not involved as Chelsea drew two all with West Bromich Albion at Stamford Bridge. At Anfield midfielder Derek Boateng was once again an unused substitute by Fulham as they were thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool.

At the Selhurst Park, youngster Hiram Boateng was not picked by Crystal Palace who recorded a barren draw with Everton. Elsewhere in the N. Power Championship, winger Albert Adomah Dankwah continued his impressive form for Middlesbrough who recorded a 2-2 draw against Watford. Adomah scored in the 23rd minute and saw full time action. Youngster Bernard Mensah was not in the Watford match day squad.

At the King Power Stadium, striker turned left-back Jeffrey Schlupp played 68 minutes for Leicester City who were beaten 2-0 by Nottingham Forest.

ITALY

At the Stadio Angelo Massimino, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu was an unused substitute for Udinese who were pipped by a lone goal to nothing by Catania. On loan forward Kingsley Boateng was not in the Catania squad.

Isaac Cofie was back in the Genoa line up as they beat Hellas Verona by two goals to nothing. Sulley Muntari played 65 minutes for AC Milan who drew 0-0 with relegation-threatened Chievo Verona. Striker Maxwell Boadu Acosty played the last 11 minutes for the homeside.

Kwadwo Asamoah lasted 90 minutes for Juventus who thrashed Napoli 3-0 in Turin to go just a point behind leaders AS Roma.

In the Serie B, Amidu Salifu was introduced in the 68th minute for Modena who went away to draw 1-1 with Juve Stabia. Masahudu Alhassan also played 86 minutes for Latina who drew 2-2 with Novara at the Stadio Communale Silvio Piola.

Ghana international Richmond Boakye Yiadom was on target on Saturday evening as his side drew 1-1 with Getafe in the Spanish La Liga.

GERMANY

Kevin-Prince Boateng played full throttle and hit a brace for Schalke 04 who came from behind to beat Werder Bremen by three goals to one. In the Bundesliga II, Baba Rahman played the entire duration for Greuther Furth who beat Paderbon by three goals to nothing.

At the Schuco Arena, right back Marcel Appiah played full time for Arminia Bielefied who lost by a lone goal to 1860 Munich. Reinhold Yabo also played 93 minutes for Karlsruher before he was substituted in their 1-1 draw with Union Berlin.

SPAIN

Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was on the score sheet for Elche who drew 1-1 away with Getafe.

FRANCE

At the Stade Louis II, Jonathan Mensah played 90 minutes at the heart of defense for Evian TG who recorded a surprised one all draw with giants Monaco. Jordan Ayew played 80 minutes for Marseille who recorded a late 2-1 win over Sochaux at the Stade Velodrome

In the Ligue 2, striker Kwame Nsor was introduced by Metz in the 71st minute as they beat Dijon by two goals to nothing. Denis Appiah also played 90 minutes for Caen who humiliated Istres 4-0.

NETHERLANDS

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Christian Atsu scored a penalty goal in the 31st minute and played the entire duration as Vitesse Arhnem moved to the top of the league by beating FC Utrecht 3-1.

Teenager Shadrach Eghan played 60 minutes for FC Twente who went away to draw 1-1 with PEC Zwolle. Striker Fred Benson was not in the Zwolle squad because of a red card suspension. At the Polman Stadion, Kwame Quansah played 90 minutes whilst Mathew Amoah also came in for the last 19 minutes as their side Heracles Almelo were thrashed 3-0 at home by Gronningen. Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Johan Kappelof played full time for the winning side.

DENMARK

In the Superligaen, striker Kevin Mensah scored and played full time for Viborg who were beaten 3-2 by Midtjylland. Kolja Afriyie played full duration for Midtjylland whilst Jeff Mensah was on the bench for Viborg. At the Blue Water Arena, Esbjerg drew 1-1 with FC Copenhagen, Davidson Drobo-Ampem played the last three minutes. Former Right to Dream player Dominic Oduro was an unused substitute for AGF who lost 3-0 to Brondby.

BELGIUM

Frank Acheampong played 90 minutes for Anderlecht who went away to beat Genk 1-0. Midfielder Bernard Yao Kumordzi came into the game for the home side in the 79th minute.

In the pro league, former Heart of Lions attacking midfielder Abraham Kudemor played 90 minutes for Sporting Charleroi who were beaten 1-0 by Gent at the Stade du Pays.

Right back Daniel Opare played the entire game for Standard Liege who recorded a stalemate with Club Brugge. Enoch Adu Kofi was an unused substitute for Brugge. Jerry Vandam played the entire game for Mechelen who were given a sound 4-0 beating by Lokeren. Former Gomoah Fetteh Feyernoord forward Abdul Yakinu-Iddi was introduced in the 75th minute whilst 18 years old Eugene Ansah was also an unused substitute for Lokeren.

NORWAY

Adam Kwarasey was in post for Stromsgodset who won the Norwegian league by thrashing Haugesund 4-0. Left back Razak Nuhu was on the Stromgodset bench.

Also at the Aker Stadion former Gomoah Fetteh Feyernoord winger Ernest Asante scored the only goal for his club IK Start who beat Molde 1-0. He lasted 79 minutes. Striker King Osei-Gyan came into the game in the 79th for Viking who beat Sarpsborg 2-1. At the Fosshaugane campus, Mahatma Otoo played 79 minutes for Sogndal who lost 2-1 to Aalesund. Gilbert Koomson was an unused substitute for the losing side.

Central defender Joseph Baffo was introduced by Valerenga in the 42nd minute in their 2-0 win over Sandnes Ulf.

PORTUGAL

David Addy played full throttle for Vitoria Guimaraes who lost by a lone goal to Gil Vicente. Former Heart of Lions star Haminu Draman was once again missing from the Gil Vicente team. At the Estadio AXA defensive midfielder Alhassan Abdulai Wakaso played full time for Rio Ave who beat Sporting Braga 1-0 away.
