Chase for Supremacy Continues as League enters week 10

The Ghana Premier League enters it tenth week this weekend with all top four clubs engaging in tricky dwells.
Today at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi Asante Kotoko will host the scientific soccer lads Liberty Professionals. The Porcupine Warriors despite losing two matches in less than two weeks still top the league table with 21 points whiles Liberty is sixth with 14 points.
Players of Kotoko have really fought hard for their club considering the fact that they had not been paid for close to three months but according to information reaching www.sportsmafiagh.net management have decided to defray the debt by close of the weekend.
For my money Kotoko has been the most exciting side to watch this season except that their ability to putting the balls in the net is left much to be desired.
Matches between this two sides has always produced an end to end stuff and this encounter is going to follow the old fashion where Liberty might runaway with the possession whiles the fabulous boys may steal the points.
Glorious Hearts of Oak will be at their favourite Accra Sports Stadium as Alhaji Grunsah comes to the party with his King Faisal Babies.
Coach David Duncan has turned Hearts from their ruthless play to practitioners of sexy game and I think he needs to be giving a thumb up for a good job done.
Unlike Hearts, King Faisal have been struggling since the commencement of the season even at their own backyard so one could simply predict a win for the Phobians but the Insha Allah boys can be unpredictable at times.
Hearts have slipped from second on the ladder to the third spot with 19 points whiles King Faisal is languishing at the fourteenth position with 9 points.
The Gyamfi Park will witness the Adansiman derby between New Edubiase United and the soccer miners Ashantigold fc.
Ashantigold is second on the ladder with 19 points whiles Edubiase is thirteenth with 9 points. This match is going to be a nerve cracking despite the wide gap in points because anytime these two clubs meet it is the grasses which suffer the most.
Ashantigold fc can be considered as a threat to both Hearts and Kotoko and a win against their rivals at Edubiase is going to cushion their chances of winning the league but New Edubiase shall stretch them to their elastic limit.
Giant Killers Hearts of Lions will travel to the Port City of Tema to play as guest to bottomed Club Inter Allies at the Community 3 Park.
Lions are fourth on the log with 15 points whiles Inter Allies are first from the bottom with 3 points from nine games. Lions look the better side to carry the maximum points at stake but Inter Allies should be able to at least wrestle a point from Lions.
At the Osagyefo Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa, Aduana Stars will pitch their strength against Amidaus Professionals. Aduana is tenth on the table with 11 points whiles Amidaus are eleventh on the ladder with the same 11 points.
Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs will welcome Medeama Sporting Club at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Stadium.
Dwarfs are seventh on the ladder with 13 points whiles Medeama occupies the fifth spot with 14 points. Things have not been smooth for Professor Mintah’s boys especially at home and would like to use this match to cool the hearts of their supporters.
Kwesi Nyatekyi’s All Stars will be at their favourite Wa Park to play as host to Bechem fc. All Stars are eleventh on the log with 10 points whiles Bechem who were rather looking good at some point are eighth with 13 points.
Hasaacas will host Berekum Chelsea at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi. The ‘Do Boys’ lies at the fifteenth spot with 7 points whiles Chelsea occupies the twelfth spot with 9 points.
