Aduana Stars contact Paa Kwesi

...to replace Coach Sarpong

Top management members of Aduana Stars have contacted out-of-job coach Paa Kwesi Fabin to replace veteran trainer J.E Sarpong who officially notified the club that he is no longer in the job on Thursday, footy-Ghana.com can reveal.

It will be recalled that Paa Kwesi who last coached the Ghana U-17 team, the Black Starlets in their failed attempt to qualify for the on-going U17 World Cup was favourite to land the job of the 2010 Premier league champions but eventually lost out to Sarpong prior to the start of the season a few months ago.

According to coach Sarpong, his decision to step down stems from verbal abuse which he describes as threat to his life from the club’s demanding supporters especially after his side’s 1-1 home draw with AshantiGold in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

He leaves Aduana Stars having placed the club ninth on the League table with 11 points in eight games.
