Boateng nets third Schalke goal

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng was once again on target for Schalke 04 as they came from behind to beat Augsburg 4-1 in Gelsinkirchen.

Sascha Molders gave the visitors a 10-minute lead, but a red card for Ragnar Klavan and a consequent penalty, which was coolly taken by Boateng opened the flood gates for more goals.

Klavan hauled down Szalai inside the penalty area, and having pointed to the spot, the referee promptly showed the Augsburg defender a red card.

Boateng stepped up and although Alexander Manninger guessed the right way, he was unable to reach the ball as the Ghanaian grabbed his first ever goal on home soil in the Bundesliga and his third of the season for the Royal Blues.

Adam Szalai then hit a brace and Max Meyer who had replaced Boateng in the 68th minute due to an injury added the fourth in the 86th minute
