Shehata denies tipping Ghana ahead of Egypt

Former Egypt head coach Hassan Shehata has told supersport.com that he feels just elated after the draw paired Ghana with Egypt.

Ghanaian media claimed Shehata said that Ghana would win both games based on Egypt’s form and qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2014.

"What I saw in the Ghanaian media is simply not true. I didn't say that Ghana would qualify ahead of Egypt. I just said both of them have the same chance to go to Brazil" Shehata said.

" I am very happy because the draw paired our National team with Ghana for two reasons. First is because I don't like to play against Arabian teams for obvious reasons , and the secondly because Ghana does not ‘park the bus’ and will guarantee an exciting double header" Shehata added.
