Neil Armstrong: I’m under pressure

Accra Hearts of Oak’s Managing Director (MD) Neil Armstrong Mortagbe has admitted being under pressure ahead of their week-two top fixture against Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Accra Stadium this Sunday.

He revealed at the club’s press briefing at its secretariat in Accra yesterday that it was normal to feel that kind of pressure because it comes under the terrain anytime the two soccer powerhouses clash.

But the eloquent MD gave the assurance that with support from their teeming fans, they would rise above the pressure and deliver on Sunday.

“Yes, I am under intense pressure, but it is the pressure that comes under the terrain. We are however handling it well and we shall certainly succeed with the fans’ cooperation,” Mortagbe said.

Hearts will host their arch-rivals Kotoko in an uncompromising game after the two sides had recorded wins in their respective day-one league encounters.

Mortagbe, who came into office a few months ago, has charged the entire Phobian fraternity to get on board, as the club strives to restore its lost glory.

Sunday’s clash will be the 99th time the two giants would be meeting in all competitions.
