Ghana beach soccer title race goes to the wire

After several grueling weeks of duels, the curtains will finally be drawn on the second season of the CAL Bank Beach Soccer League this weekend. And the inevitable question of who are crowned Kings of the beach will be answered at the LaBeach Soccer Arena.

Defending champions and current league leaders Keta Sunset Sports have had to play catch up for a greater part of the season, but find themselves at the helm after Ada Assurance relinquished their 12-week lead when they lost to the same Sunset Sports in the season's penultimate round of games. Keta Sunset Sports won on the day, but they only won a battle; the war is far from over.

Sunset's title ambitions has been under threat all season with Havedzi Mighty Warriors and Wuo Gb33 having a sniff at the title at some points in the season. Sunset Sports have swept all opposition placed in the path except the Ada challenge and that will linger on the final match day.

Keta Sunset Sports will play the relegation-threatened East Legon Sharks whilst Ada Assurance will come up against a free-scoring Havedzi Mighty Warriors who are themselves highly disappointed in their inability to mount any serious title challenge to wrestle the league from their rivals.

Clearly the tone has been set for a scintillating final day of the 2012/2013 CAL Bank Beach Soccer League.

Keta Sunset Sports are no doubt the team with the momentum but they will be weary of Ada Assurance, who are deep into plotting a pretty dramatic tale right at the depth. Don't miss the drama as it unfolds at the La Beach Soccer Arena this Saturday.
