Pressure doesn’t affect me – Didi Dramani

Asante Kotoko head coach Mas-UD Dramani says the pressures involved in coaching does not affect him in his job.

He told Kumasi-based Garden City Radio (GCR) that he takes all criticisms from supporters and other people in his stride, as long as he is able to do his job.

He said: “I am not affected by pressure at all. Yes, all kinds of pressure will come from supporters of the club and many other people, with reference to all manner of criticism, but as long as I am able to do my job, I am ok with it. Besides, supporters are always results-oriented so I can understand them.”

Dramani, who won the Premier League title with Asante Kotoko in his debut season, also told GCR that the only thing that would stop him from doing his job is being prevented from going to the training ground to work.

“Regardless of what people say, I will continue to do my work. The only way I would be prevented from working is when I am prevented from going to the training ground to coach my team. Apart from that, I just concentrate on my work,” he added.

Dramani, who led the national under 17 girls team, the Black Maidens to a historic third place at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Azerbaijan last year, also bristled at suggestions that he is only effective where women coaching is concerned, noting that the only difference is gender.

“The only difference is the gender. In other words, they could be boys or girls, but the coaching remains the same. Besides, if I am described as a ladies coach, how did I win the Premier League title with Asante Kotoko?”

When asked about his future with Asante Kotoko, Dramani noted that he is still under contract with the Premier League champions.
