Kwadwo Asamoah struggling to cope on return

Juventus coach Antonio Conte admits Kwadwo Asamoah was out of sort in last Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to AS Roma in the Serie A.

Asamoah was playing his first match for the Italian champions after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

He was handed a starting role at the Stadio Olimpico and was replaced after 56 minutes.

Conte explained that the midfielder is struggling to adapt since rejoining his teammates.

”Asamoah was on international duty for six weeks and someone even wanted me to play him against Celtic.

”He looked like a fish out of water today, as he hadn’t trained with us for a month and a half and it was enough to take him out of our systems,” said Conte.

Asamoah helped Ghana to finish fourth at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.
