Dauda thrilled with clean sheet

Goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda has perhaps delivered the quote of the tournament so far in describing his emotions from getting a clean sheet.

The keeper was agile in keeping Mali at bay in Ghana's 1-0 win and Ghana 3-0 Niger at Ports Elizabeth . "If you want to become a hero, you have to be a zero in clean sheet."

He has been selected ahead of Adam Kwarasey, who has reportedly suffered a crisis of confidence.

"I am so happy with this win and I have to thank the entire team. We can go far if we take it one game at a time and win for the nation."

Ghana next play Cape Verde in the quarter finals on Saturday February 2.
