Ransford Osei still holding on to AFCON dreams

Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Ransford Osei has revealed that he is still habouring dreams of playing at next month's Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic forward is gradually discovering his lost form with the Porcupine Warriors after he failed to shine in Europe.

The 22-year-old who was a member of the Black Satellites Fifa Under-20 World Cup winning squad said he is looking to wear the national colours again.

“If I get the chance to be called up I will be pleased to go and I’m really working hard on it. So anything is possible," Osei told Liquidsportsghana.

“I have been working very hard with my coach so I can say the form is coming gradually. I cannot say I am at my peak right now but now it is far better than the previous weeks.”

Osei, known for his pace and movement, won the golden boot at the 2007 Africa Under-17 Championship and also at the 2009 African Youth Championship.
