RTU Captain: We must beat Aduana on Sunday

Real Tamale United captain, Hassan Mohammed has labelled Sunday’s Match Day three league tie against 2010 champions, Aduana stars a must-win game.

R.T.U have had a very difficult start on their return to the GLO Premier League after playing in the lower division last season due to their relegation from the elite division of Ghana two seasons ago. The Tamale based side have only managed to pick a point from a possible six and Captain Hassan Mohammed has told URA Radio Sports in Bolgatanga that the side will be going all out to nick their first win of the season when Aduana Stars come to the Tamale Sports Stadium on Sunday for their week three match.

“We will make sure to annex the three points and we are working very hard to win the match against Aduana Stars on Sunday or else we might just find ourselves in a very difficult situation which I don’t think we want in this early days of the league,” Hassan noted. He continued: “Our first two games have been very difficult.

Playing against the runners-up of last season, Ashgold and having to travel to Kpando to engage Heart of Lions. But I believe that we will be much stronger playing at our favorite home ground and that will give us the edge over Aduana.” The former Accra Hearts of Oak skipper is also assuring fans of the ‘Pride of the North’ that RTU will survive the league come end of season. “I know that our fans are not happy with the results of our first two matches of the season but I can assure them that we will stay in the league at the end of the 2012/13 soccer season. We still have 28 matches to play in the league and I’m rest assured that come May next year, RTU will be in a comfortable position,” Hassan said confidently.
