Exchequers face Golden Sticks

Exchequers of Bank of Ghana will face Golden Sticks of G.C.B Ltd in the topmost encounter of the Pepsi Hockey league at the National Hockey Pitch at 4 p.m. tomorrow.

Exchequers who had it tough against Kingsticks last week, and are yet to lose a match this season, will feature players like Alfred Bruce, Alfred Armah, Ben Tally, Daniel Lamptey and goalkeeper Bright Dzokoto.

The Golden Boys, who have lost two matches, drawn one and won one, will also be parading players like Joseph Gabba, Charles Sowah, Jacob Sowah, Franklin Turkson and Edward Asiedu.

Although Exchequers are favourites to carry the day, the Golden Boys can pull a surprise just as they held Marine Sticks, to a 1-1 draw last Saturday.

The Military team, Marine Sticks, will not have it easy against youthful Kingsticks who are excited about the Astro Turf. The promotion of 10 players to Kingsticks from the juvenile division has increased the number of quality players in the youth team.

Facing some equipment problems, and without a team manager, the Military men will be around to conjure their winning magic again. Multi-Stix will play against CEPS at 6.45 a.m.

Fire Service who put up a disappointing show last week against CEPS, will face bottom club Veterans at 8.15 a.m. The Trustees-Citizens match has been postponed.

In the ladies’ division, Fire Service and Reformers will clash at 9.45 a.m. Meanwhile, balloting for the special tournament scheduled for June 22 will take place at the National Pitch at 10 a.m. tomorrow. All clubs are requested to send their representatives for the exercise.
