Frimpong fined by FA

Emmanuel Frimpong has been fined £6,000 by the Football Association and warned about his future behaviour after he admitted to a charge of improper conduct.

The 20-year-old Arsenal midfielder was charged under FA Rule E3, related to recent comments the made on Twitter.

"Frimpong posted comments amounting to improper conduct and/or which brought the game into disrepute, which included a reference to faith," read a statement from the FA.

Frimpong responded to a comment made by a Tottenham fan on July 15th and although he soon removed the tweet from the social networking site, it caught the attention of the FA.

The comment made by the Tottenham fan was retweeted by Frimpong, who also added the derogatory term that incurred the FA's wrath.

Frimpong made 14 appearances for Arsenal last season before joining Wolves in a spell that was cut short by a knee injury in February.
