Yaw Preko approached by Hearts of Oak to assist Akunnor

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that former Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have approached former national forward Yaw Preko with a view to securing him as an assistant to incoming coach C.K. Akunnor.

Akunnor is set to be confirmed as the new head coach of Hearts of Oak before the end of this week and Preko has been targeted as his assistant.

It is unclear whether Preko, who is currently the Head coach of second division outfit Westland FC, will accept such a role, since he is focused on winning promotion to Division One, with Westland haven won 12 out of 13 matches so far with nine games to go.**
