Accra, Dec. 20, GNA - New Edubiase United's striker Emmanuel Baffour failed to commemorate his call-up to the Black Stars squad for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with a goal over the weekend.
He however still remains on top of the scorers chart with 11 goals from 12 matches, four goals richer than his closest contender Louis Agyemang of Medeama SC.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko's forward, Ahmed Toure has scored six goals just as Ebusua Dwarfs striker Seidu Bancy and Emmanuel Clottey of Berekum Chelsea.
On five goals is Nathaniel Asamoah of Kotoko, whilst Berekum Chelsea's captain Abdul Basit and Frank Sarfo Gyamfi of Wa All Stars, Godfred Saka of Aduana Stars and Richard Addae of Bechem United have scored four goals each.
Former Black Meteors captain Michael Helegbe and James Abban of Liberty Professionals, Tema Youth trio of Hamza Abdulai, Bernard Akuffo and Daniel Appiah, Ashantigold duo Yakubu Mohammed and Didier Kore, Mahatma Otoo of Hearts of Oak, Heart of Lions’ striking sensation Benjamin Padi and Stephen Amankwaah of Berekum Arsenal are on three goals each.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that as many as 61 players have scored a goal each in the 12-week old League.
