Inter To Pay For Muntari Champions League Snub

Inter Milan will be without in-form midfielder Sulley Muntari for Tuesday’s Uefa Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow.

The Ghana international was left out of the 2010 European champions Uefa list after speculation that he would leave the club in the summer.

Muntari showed signs of regaining his former self on Saturday when he floated in a free-kick that was headed in by Lucio for Inter’s third goal in the 3-1 win over Bologna.

Inter are likely to be without Sneijder and Dejan Stankovic.

Also, Joel Obi picked up a muscular problem during the Bologna tie.

New coach Claudio Ranieri will have to make do with midfielders Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso and Ricky Alvarez.

Inter lost their Group B opener 1-0 at Trabzonspor a fortnight ago.
