Kwarasey looks to Kingson for inspiration

New Ghana first choice goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey claims he will tap the expertise of Richard Kingson to help win laurels with the Black Stars.

The 23-year-old is eying a lengthy spell between the sticks for Ghana ahead of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The Norway-born distinguished himself as the heir apparent in Monday’s international friendly against Brazil where he pulled off three magnificent saves.

Kwarasey has been touted for greatness but he believes the tutorials of the former Blackpool man will power his ambitions.

“He is a legend in Ghanaian football so I have a lot to learn from him. Just to play with him and to be on the same team with him is a great experience for me and so that will also change me as a goalkeeper because he has been through a lot and so I have a lot to learn from him,” Kwarasey said.

The Stromsgodset ace is expected to maintain his position in next month’s double decker against Sudan and Nigeria.
