$450,000 sponsorship deal for GHALCA Top Six competition

The maiden GHALCA Top Six competition will enjoy a $450,000 sponsorship backing, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The bulk of the amount however would be shouldered by telecommunications giants, Globacom in their role as headline sponsors.

“We have almost concluded all negotiations and an official announcement to this effect is expected by next week,” interim GHALCA chairman, Alhaji Raji disclosed to Hot FM.

“Four companies have already agreed to a deal which in all is worth about $450,000 out of which Glo would be contributing $250,000 as headline sponsors.”

The novelty competition is an extension of the off-season Top Four tournament.

It will feature the top five teams in last season’s Premier League and the winner of the 2011 FA Cup competition.
